The plane was cheap to build however the components do cost some money. I still tried to get inexpensive parts. As I haven`t come out with a second video to show the parts I thought I would at least link them for now.
This plane ended up being 3 ft 2 inches long and the wing was 4 feet long. I did not show me attaching the ruder and elevator but that’s something you will cut out and add. At the end of the video you can see the rudder flopping around, in my next video I will show you how its added. If you don’t have a band saw you can do all this with a hacksaw however it will be more difficult. I spent lots and lots of time sanding this plane.
After a few year long hiatus, the Lawrencetown Slope Fest had a rest run as a good group got together in the fog and the mosquitos to enjoy one of the most beautiful sites in Nova Scotia
This video busts 2 myths- The outside temperature was 32C and the plane didn`t warp or melt, and the props turn the same direction without a performance or handling penalty
