***Subtitles*** SR71 Blackbird - PowerUp 4.0 smartphone/iPhone controlled RC Airplane made from a Pizza Box foam base.
The PowerUp 4.0 Smartphone controlled paper airplane kit uses the Bluetooth signal from a smartphone or iPhone to control the plane via an app. The polystyrene pizza box foam is about 4mm thick and was reinforced with 2" wide clear packaging tape on both sides. The parts of the plane were glued together with hot-melt glue. The plane has a wingspan of 7 1/2" and weighs about 25g. The PowerUp 4.0 gives about 5 to 7 minutes of flight time per charge. The unit is charged from a USB cable and takes about 25 minutes to fully charge. The PowerUp unit has gyros and accelerometers to stabilise flight and make the plane very easy to fly. The PowerUp unit has two 615 coreless motors with contra-rotating propellers.
