This rc hobby video explains the way I pin hinge rc airplanes. I outline pin hinge preperation and technique to easily complete a hinge assembly job on any ARF or kit build rc plane.
I this video we use 30 minute epoxy, nitrile gloves, 4-40 control rod scraps, denatured elcohol, and cleanup rags. The plane used to demonstrate is a Top-Flite Reliant 100 inch wingspan. I also used one video clip from Ziroli T-6 Texan that shows the elevator assembly.I use the 4-40 control rod to insert the epoxy into the prepared 3/16 hole. I spin the 4-40 rod will inserting into the hole, and this pulls the epoxy in.
