Admittedly, the time for a waterborne model seems to be brave in view of the upcoming frost period. Courage, however, is a characteristic that distinguishes real pilots. The construction of the Jupiter Duck requires little courage, neither does flying. Rather, the box provides lots of fun — and winter is followed by summer again. So, let's go.
After the company Jupiter Aircraft a name in the early years with the double decker Junior (model AVIATOR-Downloadplan 03/2014), the Autogyro Kwirl (model AVIATOR-Downloadplan 01/2015) and the Buschflieger Scout (model AVIATOR-Downloadplan 05/2016) James Jupiter, designer, managing director, secretary, caretaker and test pilot in Personalunion, decided to build a small flying boat for the numerous waters in the hinterland of the American east coast.
The Jupiter Duck was an immediate success. Jupiter Aircraft was able to sell 324 copies. The Duck was built in several countries under the names Breguet Cane (France), Iljushin Ytka (Russia), Casa Pato (Spain) and DongFang Yazi (China) under license. Well, the whole story is once again invented, but it fits so nicely to the Jupiter family.
